About Léa

Therapy, at its core, is about relationships. The relationship you have with yourself. The relationships you build with others. And the relationship we create together in therapy.

I'm Léa Kujala, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor III (CADCIII), and Certified Sex Therapist (CST). For more than fifteen years, I've worked alongside people navigating trauma, substance use, relationships, intimacy, and life's most difficult transitions. My goal is to provide a space where you can show up honestly—without judgment, pressure, or the feeling that you have to have everything figured out.

My approach is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and evidence-based practice. I integrate trauma-informed care, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and sex therapy to meet each person's unique needs. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with you?" I believe a more helpful question is, "What has happened to you, and what has helped you survive?"

Whether we're working through the effects of trauma, rebuilding trust in a relationship, exploring sexuality, addressing substance use, or navigating major life changes, therapy is a collaborative process. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Together, we'll work to understand the patterns that have shaped your life, strengthen your capacity for connection, and develop practical tools that support meaningful, lasting change. I value thoughtful collaboration, lifelong learning, and creating spaces where people feel both supported and challenged to grow.

Outside the therapy office, you'll usually find me spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, knitting, baking, or staying active within my physical abilities. Those parts of my life remind me of something I also see in therapy: healing often happens through small, consistent moments of connection rather than dramatic breakthroughs.

If you're looking for a therapist who brings warmth, curiosity, and a direct but compassionate approach, I'd be honored to meet you. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to navigate it alone.
